Been to this restaurant with friends. Super customer-friendly and delicious. I had the mixed grill. Unfortunately we had to pay in cash, we had not seen. But that's more our fault. A cozy atmosphere and a beautiful location.

Very nice staff! I've sat in the backyard several times at different times, each time it was very cozy and quiet. The food is inexpensive and delicious! I always go to eat there with friends from outside and they are all very enthusiastic!

Service friendly, but seems overwhelmed overall ... very long waiting times until you get the food ... had expected a lot more from the medium rump steak (not thicker than a slice of roasted meat), salad was forgotten, but brought on request. The food was overall only lukewarm. My husband had ordered a grill plate with french fries, served with oven potatoes ... No trace of Corona or the hygiene concept. Masks are not worn at all or are worn on the wrist. No hand disinfection in the toilets. Contact data did not have to be stored either. Conclusion: expected significantly more from an Argentine restaurant! We ate much, much better steaks there. Price / performance miserable.

Very nice restaurant !!! Outside area invites you to sit and linger. The food is sufficient and very good. The waiters are attentive and very nice. Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. You have a choice of 11 dishes. So there is something for everyone. We'd love to come back!

ATTENTION: only cash !!! The waiter didn’t tell us, so we had to find ATM to take money. 0 servies. Meanwhile, one of the best stakes and grilled pork meat with mushroom souse that we’ve ever eaten. The meat was so tender that was melting in the mouth. I strongly recommend. Cozy place.

We ordered from the lunch menu. Unfortunately, the portion was so small that we went back and fetched it from the snack bar. Service was friendly, the location was also very nice. Portions were just way too small. ?

Meat quality was perfect, bread and salad were not so special. Service was not good, the restaurant in understaffed, for some reason the restaurant doesn’t accept Card payments Cash only ?. This is unacceptable especially during corona times. We all know why restaurants and shops in Europe don’t accept cards!!

Steak served cold, forgotten salads, chicken breast dry and grilled hard. You can save yourself eating here. And you can't pay with a card.

The place serves absolutely delicious steaks

Had eaten here a few years ago and was so impressed with the steaks that when planning to visit the Cologne Christmas market, we made an internet booking. Imagine our disappointment when we arrived, to be told very brusquely that there were no bookings because they do not take bookings in December. No space and no apology. To cap it all, we then had an email to rate our experience! Come on Toro Negro. In this day and age of technology, you are not telling me that you are unable to inform people booking on line that you do not take reservations in December. Very unsatisfied!

steak and tomato soup were very good! but cappuccino had whipped cream from supermarket instead of milk foam, that was terrible. don't drink coffee there, better find a nearby Cafe for dessert and coffee.

Meals were ok, big plates. Unfortunately got the wrong sauce on one dish. Sometimes it was hard to get the attention of the waiter. Once asked service was quick. Accepts only cash, no cards.

My colleague says: best Spanish steak house in Cologne :) It's really tasty there, the prices are really cheap, the steaks are very good and the house Rioja red wine goes well. Very nice beer garden in the backyard, there are a total of 3-4 restaurants with their beer garden, often live music, so really a perfect place for steak lovers but of course there are also fish and vegetarian. The Rhine is just around the corner, the Salzgasse with its many pubs also, the cathedral is nearby and also the Heumarkt. only a few minutes to the main station. For example, as of June 2019, a hip steak with baked potatoes and salad costs € 15.50 This is a really nice place in Cologne if you like good steaks for a nice price. (15,50 € for a steak with sides and salad) It's very close to the river, to the central station and to the Heumarkt. They have a nice beer garden, sometimes they have a live music there. Enjoy Much

Excellent steak house on one corner of the square. very good food and service. Decent wine. Only downside was the insistence on paying cash.

The staff is very friendly, the entree salads were fresh and the dressing delicious. We had ordered rump steaks, my husband wanted one between medium and through ... the middle of the steak was really very raw..also for me ... mine I ordered medium and that was great! The restaurant has a cozy dining area and a small nice "beer garden" in the backyard. We paid for 2 people with drinks 42 €, I think that's ok for what we received. EC payment is not possible here ☹️

The meat was decent, but the sides were under average, there are many places in Cologne with better food for the same prices.

This is a very nice place to eat in Cologne. Very good food and top service. I really recommend it.

Filet steak with very nice appetizers, potato, salad and bread was very delicious. Service is slow as usual at Cologne and could be more friendly but good price for an unexpected nice night when everywhere is full. Also red wine is recommended.

The staff was not helping at all, we were 7 people and they got all the dishes wrong, and the steaks weren't well cooked. Not recommended.

What a lousy place!

The steak was cooked perfectly!! ..If you consider medium to be medium rare, which they do in Europe. We also ordered sautéed mushrooms..garlicky and delicious. This place is kind of small next to the touristy places next door or down the street but the steaks were excellent and the service was great.
